“I’m consumed by trying to figure out what to wear, as I get fatter with my pregnant stomach. I never used to think about what I would wear. I was always comfortable with my clothes, from a certain age I think. Now it’s honestly like I’ve gone back to a teenager I don’t know what to wear, so it’s stressing me out.

I like sporty, and it’s hard to look sporty when your boobs are like this. I want to feel like I’m dressing for my personality. Clothes are important to me. My sister is giving me great advice, but she is twenty-four and, well, not pregnant. She thinks I should wear black Wolford leggings, ballet flats, and tight T-shirts. On her that would be really cute. I don’t know, I might try it.

I remember when I first moved to New York I was living in the West Village, and I would always see Maggie Gyllenhaal when she was pregnant. I remember thinking at that time that she looked really beautiful. I have seen some really cute pictures of Sofia Coppola pregnant. I think she wore A.P.C. smock dresses and that’s it.

I ordered some maternity jeans the other day and I sent them straight back. They were hideous — so depressing. I pulled them on and they were outrageously comfortable but I was like, ‘fuck this!’ So I put them straight back into the box. Literally within the hour I had to march them back to the post office!

So, let’s just say, it is a new challenge.” – Maya Villiger to Shop Ghost
